Marble
Deep under the Earth’s surface high temperatures and pressure transform rocks, creating new their kinds. Those transfigured rocks are called metamorphic and to this group marbles belong. It arise when the material is cramped and pleated under the enormous press of the mountain or when the material is melting by the hot fluid mass.
Marble is a metamorphic rock resulting from the metamorphism of limestone. It is mainly the composition of calcite. Marble is recognised by its characteristic swirls and veins deriving from various mineral which had been impured originally as grains or layers in the limestone.
