Granite is an igneous rock of volcanic origin. It arise form callous magma under the Earth’s surface. In this process magma goes up, forcing through weak rocky surfaces but sometimes it can not get out. Cooling rock stay under the ground surface as long as some natural process like erosion and tectonic movements, will uncover it.
Granite is generally composed of 30% quartz and 60% feldspar providing high range hardness. In recent years discoverers of so called "New Granites" have introduced vibrant and amazing opportunities in colors and patterns, no longer limiting Granite to only homogeneous grain. Extremely scratch resistant, heat resistant, weatherproof with low porosity makes granite an excellent material for both internal and external applications.
